It is looking for a new, contemporary look for the city center, renovation of public spaces, and creation of a modern, attractive, and comfortable living environment. The competition is open to participation and welcomes ideas from around the world.<\/p>\n\n                    <\/div>\n                <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/section>\n        \n         \n        \n        <div class=\"spacer\"><\/div> \n        \n        \n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Elin Pelin is a young but rapidly developing town in Bulgaria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It bears the name of one of the most significant representatives of Bulgarian literature, a writer and poet who described the picturesque Bulgarian village and traditional life in Bulgaria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The town is very close to the capital Sofia, but has its own character and identity, preferred for its peaceful life, far from the hustle and bustle of the big city.<\/p>\n\n        <\/div>\n                \n        \n            <\/div>\n        <\/section>                \n        \n\n\n        <section class=\"hero\">\n within the scope of the roundabout at Stoyan Mihaylovski Street and Sofia Street, along the entire length of Sofia Street to the square in front of the Church of \u201cSt. Nicholay Chudotvorets\u201d, including the existing parking lot, Nezavisimost Square and along the pedestrian zone on Vitosha Boulevard to Hristo Botev Street, and <strong>Development<\/strong> for <strong>Zone 2<\/strong>:                <h3>BORISLAV KRASTEV<\/h3>\n                <p class=\"member__title\">BULGARIA<br>architect<\/p>\n\n                <p class=\"member__info\">Architect Borislav Krastev graduated from the <a href=\"https:\/\/uacg.bg\/\">University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy<\/a> in 2010. During and after his studies, he took part in numerous architectural competitions in Bulgaria and abroad, focused on urban planning and building design.<br>In his private practice, he has worked on urban development projects as well as residential, industrial, and public buildings. He has been a member of the Chamber of Architects in Bulgaria since 2010, and since 2019 has also been a member of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kammerwest.at\/\">Chamber of Civil Engineers and Architects<\/a> of Tyrol and Vorarlberg, Austria, in connection with a hotel complex project in the Alps.<br>He joined the administration of Elin Pelin Municipality in 2018 and currently serves as Chief Architect of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elinpelin.org\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.elinpelin.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Elin Pelin Municipality<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n                            <\/div>\n            \n        \n\n            <div class=\"member\">\n                                    <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/competition.bg\/elinpelincenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2025\/12\/250pxl-K.K-1.jpg\">\n                               \n                <h3>KALOYAN KARAMITOV<\/h3>\n                <p class=\"member__title\">BULGARIA<br>urban planner<\/p>\n\n                <p class=\"member__info\">Kaloyan is an urban planner with a master\u2019s degree from the <a href=\"https:\/\/uacg.bg\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/uacg.bg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy<\/a> in Sofia and a specialization from the Vienna <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tuwien.at\/en\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.tuwien.at\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">University of Technology<\/a>. He has experience in urban environment and mobility analysis, spatial data processing, policy development, and stakeholder engagement.<br>Kaloyan was part of the team behind the long-term strategic document of Sofia Municipality \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/vizia.sofia.bg\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/vizia.sofia.bg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Vision for Sofia 2050<\/a>, where he coordinated research and proposals for goals and measures in two of the strategy\u2019s seven thematic areas: Mobility and Urban Environment. He worked within the team of <a href=\"https:\/\/sofiaplan.bg\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/sofiaplan.bg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sofiaplan<\/a> &#8211; the administrative body of Vision for Sofia &#8211; and participated in the development of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sofia.bg\/en\/program-for-sofia-2021-2027\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.sofia.bg\/en\/program-for-sofia-2021-2027\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Program for Sofia<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n                            <\/div>\n            \n        \n\n            <div class=\"member\">\n                                    <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/competition.bg\/elinpelincenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2025\/12\/250pxl-S.K-1.jpg\">\n                               \n                <h3>SVETOSLAVA KOLAROVA<\/h3>\n                <p class=\"member__title\">BULGARIA<br>architect<\/p>\n\n                <p class=\"member__info\">Svetoslava Kolarova is an architect with over 30 years of professional experience in the design, reconstruction, and modernization of buildings and urban environments. She has been a long-standing member of the team at <a href=\"https:\/\/albena-design.com\/bg\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/albena-design.com\/bg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Albena Design Bureau<\/a> Ltd. in Dobrich. Her professional practice includes resort complexes, residential buildings, public and cultural facilities, and interior design. During the period 2015\u20132016, a project by \u201cAlbena Design Bureau\u201d, in consortium with \u201cArchitect\u201d Ltd., was implemented after winning an award, for the reconstruction and modernization of the \u201cSt. George\u201d City Park in the city of Dobrich. During the period 2024\u20132025, <a href=\"https:\/\/albena-design.com\/bg\/%d1%86%d0%b5%d0%bd%d1%82%d1%80%d0%b0%d0%bb%d0%bd%d0%b0-%d0%b3%d1%80%d0%b0%d0%b4%d1%81%d0%ba%d0%b0-%d1%87%d0%b0%d1%81%d1%82-%d0%bd%d0%b0-%d0%b3%d1%80-%d0%b4%d0%be%d0%b1%d1%80%d0%b8%d1%87\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Stage 1 of the project for the development, improvement, and design of the central urban area of the city of Dobrich, including 25th September Boulevard, Vazrazhdane Square, and Svoboda Square, was implemented.<\/a><\/p>\n\n                            <\/div>\n            \n        \n\n            <div class=\"member\">\n                                    <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/competition.bg\/elinpelincenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2025\/12\/250pxl-T.U.jpg\">\n                               \n                <h3>TIMUR UZUNOGLU<\/h3>\n                <p class=\"member__title\">AUSTRIA<br>civil engineer<\/p>\n\n                <p class=\"member__info\">Timur Uzunoglu is a civil and structural engineer with over 25 years of international professional experience in engineering consulting, project management, and academic teaching. He is the founder and partner of several engineering and consulting companies across Austria, Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, and Germany, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.convex.at\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.convex.at\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">convex ZT GmbH<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.convexconsult.cz\/en\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.convexconsult.cz\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">convex consulting engineers<\/a>. Since 2005, he has been a lecturer at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fh-joanneum.at\/en\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.fh-joanneum.at\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FH Joanneum University of Applied Sciences<\/a> in Graz, where he is also actively involved in international study programs. His professional expertise covers large-scale industrial, energy, infrastructure, and hospitality projects, including hydrogen production plants, water treatment facilities, and five-star hotels. He has served as project manager, supervisor, and check engineer on complex international projects in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.<\/p>\n\n                            <\/div>\n            \n        \n\n            <div class=\"member\">\n                                    <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/competition.bg\/elinpelincenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2025\/12\/250pxl-T.S.jpg\">\n                               \n                <h3>TIMUR SHABAEV<\/h3>\n                <p class=\"member__title\">NETHERLANDS<br>architect<\/p>\n\n                <p class=\"member__info\">Timur Shabaev is an architect and co-founder of <a href=\"https:\/\/d-r-o-m.com\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/d-r-o-m.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">DROM<\/a>. He received an Advanced Master\u2019s degree from <a href=\"https:\/\/theberlage.nl\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/theberlage.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Berlage<\/a> Institute in Rotterdam in 2010 and is a multiple-time winner of the Europan competition. Prior to co-founding DROM, he worked at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oma.com\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.oma.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">OMA\/AMO<\/a> in Rotterdam, where he contributed to the design of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oma.com\/projects\/garage-museum-of-contemporary-art\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.oma.com\/projects\/garage-museum-of-contemporary-art\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Garage <\/a>and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oma.com\/projects\/hermitage-museum\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.oma.com\/projects\/hermitage-museum\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hermitage <\/a>Museums and was involved in developing the international educational programme at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oma.com\/projects\/strelka\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.oma.com\/projects\/strelka\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Strelka<\/a> Institute, teaching within its Public Space curriculum. At DROM, he leads large-scale projects that integrate urban design, architecture, and public-space strategies, including the <a href=\"https:\/\/d-r-o-m.com\/sobinco\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/d-r-o-m.com\/sobinco\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sobinco Industrial Campus<\/a> in Belgium and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.d-r-o-m.com\/levenpark\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.d-r-o-m.com\/levenpark\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Leven Park<\/a> in Bishkek.
